Foreign Economic activity 360: Russian and Vietnamese entrepreneurs discuss joint business development in 2022

On December 16, a round table with Russian and Vietnamese entrepreneurs was held at the Foreign Economic Activity 360 Center with the support of the Russian Trade Mission in Vietnam and the St. Petersburg Committee on Foreign Relations. The organizers were the Center for Foreign Economic Activity 360 and the Russian-Asian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.

During the Round Table, Russian and Vietnamese exporters and importers discussed the specifics of doing business between the two countries, held presentations of their companies and products, and held business negotiations. The main focus was on companies involved in the production and supply of coffee products, tea, food products, and the tourism industry. Several companies have agreed to hold additional negotiations in order to conclude foreign trade contracts.

Since 2016, the agreement on a free trade zone between the EAEU and Vietnam has been in force, and in 2020, the foreign trade turnover between Russia and Vietnam increased by 15% compared to 2019, so this area of foreign economic activity is particularly interesting. Today’s event is our start of a lot of work, and I am sure that today’s round table will bring new contracts to companies and assist in business development, commented Elena Ulyanova, Deputy Director of Foreign Trade Operations.
